In loving memory of Abbas Anees
A life remembered best by what it keeps giving.
The Abbas Anees Foundation is a family charitable foundation now being established. Its purpose is simple and old-fashioned: steady, unglamorous help — a child kept in school, a pantry kept stocked, a treatment made affordable — given in a name that taught us to give.
Why this foundation exists
Some people give quietly their whole lives. This continues that.
Charity in our family was never an event. It was a habit — done without announcement, usually without the recipient knowing where it came from. This foundation is the family's way of making that habit permanent: an organized, accountable vehicle so the giving outlasts any one of us.
We are deliberately starting small and starting honest. The foundation is in formation now; its governing documents, focus programs, and first partners are being put in place. We would rather open slowly and do the work properly than launch loudly and figure it out later.
This page will grow as the foundation does. What will not change is the spirit it is named for.
Planned areas of work
Three needs. Nothing exotic about any of them.
Education
School fees, books, and supplies for students whose families face a hard year — the small sums that quietly decide whether a child stays in class.
We plan to work through schools and community organizations rather than taking applications directly, so help reaches students without spectacle.
Program in design
Food security
Monthly grocery support for households between jobs or between crises, and contributions to existing food pantries during the months donations run thin.
Food is the first expense families cut silently. We want to be the reason they don't have to.
Program in design
Medical aid
Help with the costs insurance doesn't see: prescriptions, equipment, travel to treatment, and the bills that arrive after a diagnosis has already taken everything else.
Aid will be coordinated with clinics and caseworkers so it lands where the need is verified and urgent.

How we intend to operate
Rules we're writing down before the first dollar moves.
- Dignity first. No recipient is photographed, named, or paraded. Help that humiliates isn't help.
- Accounted for openly.Once giving begins, we will publish a plain annual accounting of what came in and where it went.
- Small and direct. We'd rather fund fifty specific needs well than one vague campaign loudly.
- Through people who know.Schools, pantries, clinics, and caseworkers see need before we ever could. We work through them.
- No overhead theater. The family covers the foundation's running costs so contributions go to the work itself.
- Permanent, not seasonal.Need doesn't follow a holiday calendar. The foundation's commitments won't either.
Giving
Giving opens when the paperwork is done. Not before.
We will not accept a dollar until the foundation's legal registration and accounting arrangements are complete — that's a matter of respect for donors and for the name on the door.
If you'd like to give when that day comes, leave your name below. We'll write to you once, when giving opens, with exactly how contributions will be handled and reported.
